at the outpost... on a wednesday... for a good cause. it's the ondoy live aid gig. buy a beer and part of your payment goes to the relief fund. not bad. we just wish the beer is not half cold. oh well, it's for a good cause so we'll take anything.

great afternoon

to lie on our backs on the grass and gaze up at the sky. and take pictures like this. the sister and i were at residences@northroad in the afternoon. we finally got this pic just before the storm sort of messed up the view.

we won the cock!

who would have thought!? when we were declared champion we asked ourselves, how did we do that? we were at the bigfoot quiz show. me, nadia and angeli were hesitant to put in our 40 pesos reg fee thinking how slim our chances were against those groups of 8. but we went ahead and good thing because tim doolen joined us and then sky who named us team jai ho. he is from mumbai so the reason is obvious. then carey completed our team. each team was given answer sheets and the quiz master read about 70 question ranging from micheal jackson stuff to hollywood trivia to guess what, philippine history which was a special add that night. while we answered there was overflowing popcorn and drinks. in fairness, we never googled any of the questions when we could have. there would have been a lot of time but tim said it would be stretching it too far and we agreed. and we won! as champions we won the cock, as they call it - a trophy that is a replica of a rooster. we thought it was smaller than expected; no pun intended. plus 1000 pesos in cash and a round of tequila. not bad for the 40 reg fee and all the fun that we had. then we thought of displaying our trophy on a platinum pedestal at the bigfoot lobby complete with glaring lights and security detail. now that is stretching it too far! haha. but we won and this is about showbizness so that entitles us to some outrageous make believe celebration!

just got home after a lovely evening with gail, laarni, jecelyn, maridel and mimi... college friends from stc. it was sooo good and sooo much fun to see them. gail brought our college yearbook and we had some really good laughs looking at ourselves. we forgot 'bangs' di ay ang uso adto nga time... haha... laarni and gail will post our candid shots... as for our drinks, well... they're gonna be champagne next time. thanks girls! i had wonderful time!

that's how we fared in today's 'zero waste in seas' to celebrate the 2009 international coastal clean-up.

amazed and proud of our catch. me and stela unloaded some 10 kilos of trash. my priced catch were a towel and a shoe!

coastal clean-up

just before we attacked the shoreline at bigfoot studios for the annual coastal clean-up. before we sweat it out picking up all the garbage and trash scattered out there. the event is co-sponsored by ocean care the csr arm of the islands group. we are currently listening to the talk on clean-up guidelines. it's not just some blind attack on something coz it's very well organized. one thing i will not forget and we could learn from is that we cannot eat money. take this... "Only when we have cut all our trees, killed all marine life and poisoned all our rivers will we realize that we cannot eat money." oh, and pardon the pic, i just can't resist those two adorable signature bigfoot footprints.

chinese garter anyone?

i was worrying about how to burn all the food i gorged today when bong came to the rescue. oh well i tried to do some chores around our place and even did some work but i don't think they would earn me dinner. so i was all yes when bong told me they were stopping for me en route to i.t. park. i couldn't imagine a better thing to do on a holiday. i assumed we will be in for a little picnic. the girl scout in me packed an extra shirt, who knows we might be able to do some walking. but whoa! bong brought along a chinese garter! and in no time we were jumping like kita and niya. hahaha! i just loved it! and boy, could i still jump! now my extra shirt will not be rendered useless. wahahaha. watch out i think we're bringing hula hoops next!

after spending the day with lola tiya regina on her 75th birthday, dru and his favorite girl (at least at the moment) dropped by tulay for some fresh air. with us are mama arlen and muffin, taking this lovely pic.
